Japanese Army Major General U. Okada signs the instrument of surrender at Government House in Hong Kong
Signing is Imperial Japanese Army (IJA) Major General U. Okada on behalf of the Army with Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN) Rear Admiral Ruitaro Fujita standing at right holding his sword. Fujita signed on behalf of the Navy. Okada on behalf of the Army. After signing, both surrender their swords to Rear Admiral Harcourt.
