Jack Heyn - Pearl Harbor 59th Anniversary
Message from Jack Heyn, December 7, 2000
Fifty nine years ago today a Japanese air armada paid an uninvited
call on Pearl Harbour. That started a 44 months struggle that cost us
billions of dollars; and snuffed out the lives of tens of thousands
of young lives. They would never live to marry a beautiful young lady,
raise a beautiful family and celebrate a 55th anniversary. May they
Rest In Peace.
The photo attatched was taken at the Punch Bowl National Cemetery on our 50th wedding anniversary. They have large detail maps
of all the major Pacific War Campaigns. Our son-in-law took this one
of my Jonnie and I standing by the map of the New Guinea campaign, where
I spent 2 years of my youth.
