Major Marion R. McCown, Jr. grave at Unitarian Church Cemetery in Charleston, South Carolina
On January 20, 1944 pilot F4U Corsair
02402 lost in air combat over Rabaul and went Missing In Action (MIA). The crash site was found in 1983 and his remains were recovered between 1991–2008. His grave has the epitaph "Returned home Jan 18, 2009 you are not forgotten". The graves are closer to Archdale Street, between the church and Gage Hall.
