Do you know Chester Zuezula (or Gezula?)
My wife's grandmother died two months ago, and we have found in her archives a US Navy sailor's picture with adress on the back. Chester gezula or zezula. Could you help me to know a little more about this gentelman? I've found in her belonging, a navy towel and a iron biscuit box with many US army, navy and marines corps buttons.
During the war she was making some laundry work for the marines corps soldiers and navy boys, that's how she probably met this guy in Noumea. She was paid in US dollars for this job.
When she was alive, we were talking about her relationships with the US troops. She said, that she doesn't understand a word, she always said NO! and the us kids smile (as she said). She remember very well the fact that USMC and navy, never came at the same time at her home to take or leave their laundry. She said "for sure they didn't appeciate each other!"
