    Iron Range Queensland Australia
Lat 12° 41' 60S Long 143° 18' 0E  Iron Range is located on the east coast of Cape York Peninsula in Queensland in Australia.

James McMurria recalls in Fight For Survival, page 30
"There was no town, no village, no farmers, or ranchers that I ever saw living around Iron Range, Australia. There were some crude docking facilities in its sheltered harbor a few miles from the airstrip, but I never saw anyone tending it. Occasionally an ancient Australian barge of some dreary type would pull in there and a handful of Aussies.
