Peale Island is a small island in Wake Atoll. located to the north of Wake Island, connected by causeway to Wilkes Island.

Peale had the terminal and seaplane area for Pan American flyingboats. Also, prior to the start of the war, the US Navy began construction of a Naval Air Station, that was never completed.

Occupied by the Japanese on December 23, 1941 until the end of the war.
