Lat 39° 54′ 27.61″ N Long 116° 19′ 3.8″ E  Located on the north side of the central section of Fuxing Road directly south of the Yuyuantan Park. Accessible via subway "S" line, the nearest stations is the Military Museum (Junshi Bowuguan) station on the green or red lines.

The museum is composed of two four-story wings and a main building of seven stories topped with the gilded emblem of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army, The museum's second floor is dedicated to the War of Resistance Against Japan (1937-1945). The third floor to the Third Revolutionary Civil War (1945-1949). Exhibits include the Hall of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, detailing the Korean War.
