formerly, this museum was known as the Niagara Aerospace Museum, also known as "Aerospace Museum" or "Western New York Aerospace Museum". Located in Niagara Falls, May 1998 until 2008. Next, relocated to the former Bell Aircraft Corporation (Bell Aerospace) plant in the Town of Wheatfield, NY. Renamed Ira G. Ross Aerospace Museum. Ross headed Cornell Aeronautical Laboratories (now, Calspan Corporation) and, also, that the museum move to the City of Buffalo. The Buffalo Sabres offered to lease approximately 10,000 square feet of ground floor space on the west side of the HSBC Arena (western side, behind the Sabres Store) as an exhibition site to the Museum. A portion of the collection and exhibits were installed in renovated space, and there was a soft opening at the site in August 2008. The Museum continues in Wheatfield.
