The Destroyer Escort Historical Museum includes the USS Slater (DE-766) permently moored in the Hudson River in Albany, New York. In 1993 the Board of Directors of the Destroyer Escort Sailors Association (DEHM) voted for and established a new organization, the Destroyer Escort Historical Museum (DEHM) that was incorporated as a not-for-profit educational corporation in New York State to display and maintain USS Slater (DE-766) as an exhibit open to the public.
