The Michigan Heroes Museum (MHM) has a mission to honor, respect, and remember Michigan citizens' personal contributions to the military and space programs. Previously known as Michigan's Own Military & Space Museum. Outdoor displays include a Korean Service memorial, USS Liberty, 10th Mountain Division memorial, F-86 Sabre and M-60 tank. Founded in 1974 by Stanley "Stan" Bozich.

Pfc Dirk Vlug Display
Display related to U.S. Army Pfc Dirk J. C. Vlug who earned the Medal of Honor December 15, 1944 on Leyte in the Philippines and donated his artifacts to the museum. Vlug was involved with the museum until he passed away and his family remains involved.
