Unbroken (2014) Released in 2014, Hollywood movie was directed by Angelina Jolie is based on the bestselling book Unbroken by author ofSeabiscuit: An American Legend that tells the story of Louis Zamperini who was a runner in the 1936 Olympics and crew member on a B-24 Liberators in the Pacific Theater. On May 27, 1943 he was the bombardier aboard B-24D "Green Hornet" that crashed into the Pacific Ocean. Zamperini survived an ordeal at sea and as a prisoner of the Japanese. The film ends with footage of Louis Zamperini in Japan running the Olympic torch. The movie was released on DVD on March 24, 2015.
