Bridge telegraph face plate recovered from the Buka
This face plate was found in the mud under the telegraph and consisted of over 50 pieces. These pieces were cleaned and put together like a jigsaw puzzle. The etching on the face was only visible by tilting each piece to the light. The etched outlines were then filled in with black ink.
