This wreck was either Subchase CHa-18 or CHa-21, both with a crew of twevle and both sunk on the same day. Known locally as "O-Buoy Wreck".
Sinking History
On
January
30, 1944 attacked by U.S. Navy (USN) carrier aircraft and sunk into Kwajalein Atoll in the southern portion of the atoll.
Shipwreck
Discovered in 1983, at a depth of 120'. This shipwreck is roughly 50 yards west
of O-Buoy wreck. The ship has damage to the bow and stern plus expended ammunition around
the shipwreck. Many skulls have been found on the wreck. The superstructure has collapsed A search light, MG and
rifles are around. The bridge has collapsed to the side allowing access
to to the radio room and other compartments. Many personal effects have
been Discovered, including bottles, musical instruments and perfumes,
and small jade pieces. Lots of Fujikawa china is located in the galley.
