Wartime History
During late 1943, struck a mine and ran arground on the north side of Aineman Island and sank into the lagoon. Targeted by numberous American aircraft, and subjected to additional bombing when mistaken for an active ship.

Shipwreck
The intact shipwreck is partially above the water with the bow gun still intact.
