Wartime History
Wooden vessel sunk south of the pier at Gugegwe Island. Likely sunk on December 4, 1943.

Shipwreck
Sank upright in 60' of water. Only the metal parts of the ship remain, engine, fuel tanks, and hull planking and basalt. A full case of small arms ammo is nearby. In 1978 four samurai swords were discovered in the aft, but the blades had rusted away.
