Sinking History
On February 17, 1944 while in Truk Lagoon destroyed by SBD Dauntless dive bombers from the USS Enterprise. Hit on both side of the ship and stern. A large explosion blew out the sides of the ship and it sank immediately in Truk Lagoon.

Shipwreck
In 1973, discovered in 30' to the top of the wreck to the 160' of bottom. The ship has an old field artillery gun with wooden wheels mounted on the deck, a makeshift effort to arm this cargo vessel. Torpedoed from the stern and went down in 170 feet of water. The compass on the bridge still functions.

The ship bell has been removed and is located in the fishery building on Moen. Inside the cabins below are personal effects lying around. Small side rooms contain the latrines, china and radio equipment. In the aft contain a few airplane propellers, the remaining cargo holds are empty.
