MV Matoma (588) bow port quarter at Port Kembla, NSW
The bow has Royal Australian Navy hull number 588 in black letters. The mast has the British White Ensign flag used by the Royal Australian Navy during World War II. Forward of the mast is a .30 caliber machine gun with an ammunition box mounted on a post for anti-aircraft defense.
