SS Mathew P. Deady damaged no. 2 gun tub
On November 2, 1944 a Japanese kamikaze plane crashed into the no. 2 gun tub abreast of the no. 1 hatch on the port side and immediately caused an explosion then a second explosion. The wreckage has painted "Danger" and "Danger Live Ammo".
