U.S. Army Nurse 1st Lt Mary Jensen looks through a hole in the deck of USS Comfort (AH-6) caused by a Japanese kamikaze suicide plane that hit off Okinawa on April 29, 1945
When the plane hit, Nurse Jensen, had stepped out of the main surgery supply room less than one minute before it was completely demolished by the explosion and is standing three decks below the deck.
