USS Lexington CV-2 mushroom cloud explosion during the Battle of the Coral Sea
This photograph was taken at roughly 5:30 the explosion was likely caused by the detonation of ordnance. To the left is USS Hammann (DD-412) and in the distance on the horizon is USS Yorktown (CV-5).
