Ship History Built by Ballard Marine Railway Comany, Inc. in Seattle. Laid down November 20, 1942 as YMS-1 Class Auxiliary Motor Minesweeper. Launched February 23, 1943 as YMS-329. Completed July 3, 1943 and delivered to the U.S. Navy (USN). Wartime History YMS-329 operated in the Pacific performing mine sweeping. On April 28, 1945 damaged by a sea mine at roughly Lat 3 14' N Long 117 42' E off Tarakan on Tarakan Island off Borneo. Postwar On May 27, 1946 photographed in Subic Bay.
