Midget Submarine raised and secured to USS Ortolan off Guadalcanal
While awaiting the arrival of other submarine specialist, Lt. F.X. Sommer (MC) USNR goes down the hatch of the small coning tower to inspect the interior of the midget 'u-boat', Lt. Sommer besides being the ship's doctor is an experienced diver.
