Tank History Delivered to the U.S. Army or U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) as M4A3 Sherman Medium Tank. This tank was shipped across the Pacific to Guadalcanal, arriving arrived sometime after February 1943 and did not participate in the Guadalcanal campaign. Wartime History This tank was assigned to either the U.S. Army or U.S. Marine Corps (USMC). Nicknamed "Jezebel" on the left side of the hull in white block letters. On Guadalcanal, stripped for usable parts and had the main gun and armament, treads and bogies removed. The hull was towed to a firing range roughly 600 yards southeast of Bonegi. Afterwards, used as a target. Wreckage This tank remains to this day in kunai grass. On the left side of the hull, "Jezebel" is still visible. Contribute
