Background
During 1942, eastablished Air Force Combat Command in the U.S. Army Air Force (USAAF). Next, redesignated as 71s Observation Group and later redesignated 71st Tactical Reconassiance Group (71st TRG). Also known as simply 71st Reconnaissance Group. During World War II, assigned to the 5th Air Force (5th AF) in the South-West Pacific Area (SWPA). The 71st Tactical Reconassiance Group (71st TRG). includes the 17th Reconnaissance Squadron (Bombardment) (17th TRS) equipped with B-25 Mitchells and 110th Tactical Reconnaissance Squadron (11th TRS).

Also known as the 82nd Tac Recon Squadron or 82nd Tac Recon.

110th Tactical Reconnaissance Squadron (110th TRS)
The 110th Tactical Reconnaissance Squadron (110th TRS) was also known as the 110th Tac Recon Squadron or 110th Tac Recon.
