Location
Embi Lakes are four separate freshwater lakes located to the south of Dobodura and Popondetta. The largest lake located furthest to the west is known as "Big Embi Lake", the middle smaller lakes as "Little Embi Lakes". Furthest to the east is "East Embi Lake". To their east is Embi Airfield and North Embi Airfield (Dobodura No. 12). To their north is Dobodura No. 4 (Horanda 4Y) and to their northwest is Girua Airfield (Kenney, Dobodura No. 7).
