Aircraft History Built by Douglas Aircraft Company. Delivered to the U.S. Army Air Force (USAAF) as A-20G-20-DO Havoc serial number 42-86713. Disassembled and shipped overseas to Australia and reassembled. Wartime History During March 1944 assigned to the 5th Air Force (5th AF), 3rd Bombardment Group (3rd BG), 13th Bombardment Squadron (13th BS). Assigned to pilot Walker. Nicknamed "Powerful Katrinka". Tail letter unknown. Wartime History On April 16, 1944 at 10:30am took off from Nadzab Airfield piloted by Major Richard Walker leading a formation of nine A-20s on a low level strike against Hollandia. Returning the formation encountered a severe weather front and was damaged landing at Saidor Airfield. Afterwards this aircraft was repaired. Ultimate fate unknown likely scrapped or otherwise disappeared. References Other sources state this aircraft ditched into the sea incorrectly.
