Aircraft History
Built by Douglas. Constructors Number 934. Delivered to the U.S. Army Air Force (USAAF) as A-24 Dive Bomber serial number 41-15801. In late December 1941 at Savannah, GA. Between January 7, 1942 to January 29, 1942 at McCellan Airfield. On February 25, 1942 assigned to Project "X" then disassembled and shipped to "Sumac" Australia and reassembled.

Wartime History
Assigned to the 5th Air Force (5th AF), 3rd Bombardment Group (3rd BG), 8th Bombardment Squadron (8th BS). By the middle of 1942 the remaining A-24 Dive Bombers were withdrawn from use on combat missions.

Afterwards, used by the 5th Air Force (5th AF) hack for liaison flights in New Guinea. By early 1944 the tail was painted white. The fuselage had a star and bar insignia. On February 25, 1944 photographed at Wau Airfield parked in a flight line with a Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Wirraway from No. 4 Squadron and L-5 Sentinel 42-98060 from 25th Liaison Squadron. On October 31, 1944 officially stricken off charge. Ultimate fate unknown likely scrapped or otherwise written off.
