Cape Esperance Views
The rugged mountains at Cape Esperance go right up to the edge of the shore. The area is more sparsely populated than other areas, and the road only sees a few vehicles traveling down it each day.

Kamimbo Bay (Tambea)
Tambea is the area that was a Japanese staging base during the battle and mini-submarine collection point. The wreckage of a A6M2 Zero, reportedly salvaged from shallow water by locals in the 1970s remains at this location where it was dumped. There is a neglected Japanese memorial, and burned out remains of the Tambeau Beach Resort, destroyed in the ethnic tensions of the late 1990s.

Visale (Catholic Mission)
Visale is locaed at Cape Esperance. There are the remains of an A6M2 Zero that ditched the shallow water. The mission was occupied by the Japanese and bombed during the war. In the steep ridge (at 1,000' elevation) behind the area is the wreck of B-24D 42-40646. It is a full day's trek to get there from the mission due to the difficulty of the terrain.
