Built by Mitsubishi or Nakajima. Delivered to the Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN) as A6M2 Model 21 Zero manufacture number unknown.
Wartime History
Assigned to an unknown Kōkūtai (Air Group). This Zero was abandoned
at Vunakanau Airfield.
Wreckage
Until the 1980s, this Zero with the wings and center section remained in situ. When school children from the nearby school began vandalizing some
of the wreckage at Vunakanau, Brian Bennett transported the airframe to Tobera for better display and care.
