A6M3 Zero 3036 abandoned at Buna Airfield (Old Strip)
The cowling is painted black and the propeller is removed. The fuselage has bullet and shrapnel holes from air combat or damage sustained while parked. The cockpit canopy is partially open with the glass missing. The rear fuselage has the Hinomaru (Rising Sun) and Houkoku Gou 878 (Patriotic Presentation Number 878) and rectangular serial number stencil. Tail code Q-104.
