Aircraft History
Built by Mitsubishi. Delivered to the Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN) as Type 0 Carrier Fighter Reisen / A6M3 Hamp manufacture number unknown (four digits). This aircraft was either Model 22 or Model 32.

Wartime History
Assigned to an unknown Kōkūtai (Air Group). This Zero likley operated from Rabaul. While parked at Sule Airfield on the inland side, the right wing was damaged by a bomb blast and abandoned.

Ray Fairfield visited on April 25, 1971:
"A Zero carcass in very poor shape, in the bush at the inland end."
