Loading bombs aboard B-17E 41-2432 at 7 Mile Drome near Port Moresby
At the center wearing the pith helmet is pilot Paul Cool. In the foreground is a bomb cart with aerial bombs that have yet to have their tail fins attached. The tail vertical center section painted olive drab was was from another B-17 and used to repair the tail after it was damaged on May 11, 1942.
