B-17F "Well Goddam" 41-24381 nickname and nose art with Cpl James Nichols in the cockpit
Jim Nichols caption: "Jim Nichols in B-17 (381) [B-17F "Well Goddam" 41-24381] General Wurthsmith's plane. I was part time radio operator. Artwork on nose by JRN [James R. Nichols]. This and the Bong plane [P-38J "Marge" 42-103993] were the only two nose art that I ever did. Had plenty of requests, but didn't have time.
