Aircraft History Built by Boeing at Seattle. Constructors Number 3113. On June 29, 1942 deliivered to the U.S. Army Air Force (USAAF) as B-17F-5-BO Flying Fortress serial number 41-2430. Wartime History During September 1942 ferried across the Pacific to New Zealand. Apparently, this B-17 was never assigned to a specific Bombardment Group. During 1942 photographed parked and being serviced at Ohakea Airfield in New Zealand. Fate uncertain, likely remained in New Zealand and scrapped or otherwise disappeared.
