On the left side of the nose is the nose art of Walt Disney character Pluto and the dark rectangle is the over painted prior nickname "I Dood It". Above is the U.S. Army serial number stencil that reads: "U.S. Army - Model B-17F Air Corps Serial No. 41-24543 Crew Weight 1200 lbs." The dark rectangular area might have been removed by a U.S. Army photo censor or was an area of dark paint atop the prior nickname "I Dood It".
