Aircraft History Built by Boeing at Seattle. Constructors Number 2652. Delivered to the U.S. Army Air Force (USAAF) as B-17E Flying Fortress serial number 41-9180. Wartime History Delivered to the 34th Bombardment Group (34th BG). On May 9, 1942 at Pendelton. On July 10, 1942 transferred to Westover. During 1943 operated from Pyote Airfield. This B-17 was never sent overseas. This B-17 appears in the Hollywood movie Bombardier filmed in 1943. On November 29, 1945 scrapped in the United States.
