B-24D "Big Emma" 41-23751 nose with gun sockets and nose art parked at 7 Mile Drome near Port Moresby
The nose has several gun sockets for .30 caliber machine guns to be fitted at different position. Inside the nose, the bombsight is covered by canvas. On the left side of the nose is the nose art of a black cat with fangs atop an aerial bomb with action lines indicating it was falling. Above the nose art is the U.S. Army Air Force serial number stencil.
