On March 11, 1944 the entire crew plus S/Sgt John W. Emmer Jr. (not pictured) were lost aboard B-24D "Heaven Can Wait" 42-41216 when it crashed into Hansa Bay off Awar Point and were listed as Missing In Action (MIA).
