Ferried overseas via Hickam Field then across the Pacific to the South Pacific (SoPAC). Wartime History Assigned to the 10th Air Force (10th AF), 7th Bombardment Group (7th BG), 492nd Bombardment Squadron (492nd BS). Nicknamed "Lady Be Good" with the nose art of a blonde woman seated wearing a swimsuit and a large hat inspired by an Alberto Vargas artwork.
