On July 5, 1944 Rubin, Thornton, McMillin, Buccia, Corbin and Reed were Killed In Action (KIA) aboard B-24D "Big Chief Cockeye" 42-40351 on Ceram. Kosciuszek was captured and became a Prisoner Of War (POW) executed at the end of August 1944.
