This was the only bomber that experienced any difficulty taking off due to rough seas with sea water splashing over the bow and during take off took off too soon and it looked as if it might not get airborne but corrected and climbed away safely. Over Tokyo, bombed factories and magazines near the river north of the main railroad station and Imperial Palace with three demolition bombs and one incendiary cluster from an altitude 900' as debris flew higher than the bomber. Afterwards, proceeded to the coast of China and force landed in a rice paddy near Ningpo.
