At left is the nose of B-25C "Der Schpy" 41-12496 with "Der Schpy" nickname on the left side of the nose. Seated near the nose is the American air crew holding maps or files. In the distance are Allied personnel and beyond another parked B-25C Mitchell and the tail of a parked C-47 Skytrain. Although dated July 6, 1942 it was taken June 16, 1942.

At the center is Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) P/O Edward Mobsby, (wearing jacket and leaning) and 1st Lt. Bill "Red" Johnson. In the background are Allied personnel and beyond a parked B-25C Mitchell.
