Aircraft History Built by North American Aviation (NAA). Constructors Number 87-7865. Delivered to the U.S. Army Air Force (USAAF) as B-25D Mitchell serial number 41-29700. Ferried overseas via Hickam Field then across the Pacific to Australia. Wartime History Assigned to the 38th Bombardment Group, 71st Bombardment Squadron. Nicknamed "Scat". Later, renamed "Annette". This B-25 flew combat missions in New Guinea. Afterwards, retained as an administrative transport until at least March 1944. Ultimate fate unknown, likely scrapped.
