In the pilot seat with left hand out the window is pilot Lt. Claude B. Simmons. In the nose escape hatch is SSgt Frank Travis, bombadier/navigator. Standing with hand on the propeller is co-pilot Lt. Howard L. Myers. Turning the other propeller blade and holding the fire extinguisher are turret gunner SSgt Philip T. Lewis, radio-gunner SSgt Charles A. Moran and engineer SSgt Homer C. Guise (holding fire exinguisher). Nicknamed "Steamin' Jean" on the left side of the nose with "Starlite Room" below the nose escape hatch.
