Built by North American Aviation (NAA). Constructors Number unknown. Delivered to the U.S. Army Air Force (USAAF) as B-25 Mitchell model and serial number unknown. Ferried overseas via Hickam Field then across the Pacific to the South Pacific (SOPAC).

Wartime History
Assigned to the 13th Air Force (13th AF), 42nd Bombardment Group (42nd BG) "The Crusaders", 69th Bombardment Squadron (69th BS). No known nickname

Mission History
On December 25, 1943 took off on 1st Lt. Albert B. Marx on a mission. Damaged with two crew injured, this B-25 ditched into Saint Georges Channel off Cape Saint George on the southeastern tip of New Ireland.

"A memorable raid as far as Lieut. Albert B. Marx and crew are concerned is the one they flew in December, during which their airplane was shot up so badly that ditching was an absolute must. Two of the crew had been injured, but all six of them made the rafts and were picked up by 'Dumbo, I Love You,' two hours and 20 minutes later."
