On January 9, 1945 the entire crew (with the exception of Vetters) went Missing In Action (MIA) aboard B-29 "Waddy's Wagon" 42-24598 returning from a bombing mission Nakajima Musashino Aircraft Factory at Musashino west of Tokyo.
