Lat 35° 41' 6N Long 139° 45' 5E  Musashino is a western suburb of Tokyo in the Kantō Region of Honshū in Japan.

Wartime History
During the Pacific War, the Nakajima Aircraft Factory was located in Musashino.

Nakajima Aircraft Factory (Musashino)
The Nakajima Aircraft Factory was located in Musashino. Also known as Musashino Aircraft Plant or Musashino Aircraft Factory. During the U.S. bombing of Japan, designated Target Number 357 and often bombed by B-29 Superfortresses including the first B-29 mission against Japan on November 24, 1944 and March 4, 1945 the last high altitude daylight precision bombing mission. On July 29, 1945 B-29 "Bockscar" 44-27297 drops a "pumkin bomb" non-nuclear replica of the "Fat Man" bomb on the factory with poor results.
