Aircraft History Built by Boeing. Constructors Number 69729. Delivered to the U.S. Army Air Force (USAAF) as B-29-60-BW Superfortress serial number 44-69729. Wartime History Assigned to the 20th Air Force, 875th Bombardment Squadron, 498th Bombardment Group. No known nickname or nose art. This bomber completed twenty-seven bombing missions. Postwar By June 1949 converted into a KB-29 tanker and abandoned at NAS China Lake. Display in 1986 was transported to Lowry Heritage Museum. Went through restoration and was placed on display in 1987. In 1995, transferred in 1995 to Museum of Flight and placed on display in 1996 another addition al restoration.
