Aircraft History Built by Nakajima. Delivered to the Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN) as B6N2 Jill manufacture number unknown. Wartime History Assigned to ? Kokutai. No known markings. Mission History This Jill ditched into Truk Lagoon northeast of Eten Island. Wreckage During 1997, discovered in pristine condition upright on a white sandy bottom. Initially, this wreck was misidentified as a B5N2 Kate. There are bullet holes in the fuselage indicating it was likely shot down. The 7.7mm machine gun remains in the rear gunner position.
