Aircraft History
Built by Nakajima. Delivered to the Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN) as B6N Tenzan (Jill) manufacture number unknown.

Wartime History
Assigned to an unknown Kōkūtai (AIr Group). No known markings. In early September 1945 surrendered to U.S. occupation forces in Japan. This Jill was one of 145 Japanese planes transported aboard three U.S. Navy (USN) aircraft carriers to the United States for technical evaluation.

Display
In 1946 moved to NAS Willow Grove as part of the David Ascher collection and was displayed outdoors until 1981.

Storage
During 1981, acquired by the National Air & Space Museum (NASM). The aircraft and engine are stored in the NASM Paul E. Garber Facility. This Jill is the only example in a museum worldwide.
